Imprinted Concrete Driveway, or Stamped Concrete Driveway as it sometimes referred to, is a relatively new technique. It involves stamping the surface of wet concrete to produce a pattern such as brick, cobbles, slate, stone or tile. A special, high strength, fibre rich concrete mix is poured onto the area, then colour hardener is dusted onto the surface and then a special set of pattern imprinted mats are pressed into the surface, to give an individual & beautiful and natural appearance.
A Pattern Imprinted Concrete Driveway, unlike it's sister the block paved driveway is totally weed free as the entire surface is covered therefore not allowing any possibility of weeds peeping through. With a multitude of colours and many patterns any look can be obtained from Old English Cobblestone to the resemblance of wooden planks.
Unlike block paving, it requires little to no cleaning as it is sealed therefore the surface is much more difficult for the stains and dirt to penetrate. Imprinted Concrete is best suited to patios, driveways and paths but can also be used for many other applications including indoor usage aswell.
Perfect outdoor paving for many uses.
